Our 3 Days\/ 2 Night safari starts with a visit to Tsavo West National Park located on south eastern Kenya, 240 Kilometers from Nairobi along the western side of Mombasa-Nairobi highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We arrive at our lodge\/ camp for lunch then after relax before the afternoon Game drive. On our game drive we are bound to see vast herds of dust-red elephant, rhino, hippo, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos and serval cat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the less common animals to be found are the fringed-eared Oryx, the gerenuk and lesser kudu. The carnivores in addition to lion include. Our second day we visit Tsavo East National Park located on south eastern Kenya, 240 kilometers from Nairobi along the western side of Mombasa-Nairobi highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A variety of animals can be seen in Tsavo East National Parks such as lions, leopard, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, serval, antelopes, kongoni, lesser kudu, oryx, klipspringer, impala, stripped hyena, ostriches, gazelles, buffalos, elephants and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A variety of migratory and native birds are seen. The birds are viewed between late October and early January, and come from as far as Eastern and Western Europe. Game viewing drives at the Tsavo West with a visit to the Mzima springs.<br>The Springs are fed daily by 250 million liters of water gushing from the Chyulu Hills provide an oasis of green, an underwater hippo viewing chamber, two nature trails and some unique picnic spots.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The molten lava that forms the Shetani Lava Flow spewed from the earth just 200 years ago and its fiery fury was thought by the local people to be the work of the devil, hence its name which means devil in Swahili. Return back to the lodge for breakfast then proceed to your next destination \u2013 Tsavo East National Park.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>We arrive at our lodge in time for lunch then rest before the afternoon game-drive. The park is famous for the \u2018Man-eaters\u2019. In 1898, as many as 135 railway workers were attacked and killed by man-eating lions.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The pair of male, maneless lions that, unusually, hunted humans rather than livestock, evaded traps and capture for many months. The man-eaters were eventually shot by Lt. Col. There are many interesting aspects in the open areas of Tsavo East which include the spine of the Yatta Plateau, one of the world\u2019s longest lava flows.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The Athi River flanked by stately doum palms which, near the Manyani gate forms the Lugard Falls, a long stretch of rippling white water cataracts and a favorite haunt for sunbathing crocodiles. Mudanda Rock which is sometimes referred to as the miniature of Ayers rock in Australia is almost 2 kilometers long it juts out of the surrounding landscape.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Lugard Falls gush through a small fissure, narrow enough for the foolhardy to leap across, before dropping to Crocodile Point below, where the river changes its name to the Galana and is named after Britain\u2019s first proconsul in East Africa, Captain Lugard.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The Crocodile point where you can often find some pretty large crocs as well as plenty of other wildlife including buffalo, hippo and the highly endangered Hunter\u2019s Hartebeest.
